We stayed at the Bahama House Inn for four days in April. The breakfast here was great, with fruit and your choice of bacon, eggs and french toast - all of which were very tasty. John was very nice and offered great advice on both things to see and places to eat. This is a great central location on the... more

We went to Harbour Island to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. We were excited about Bahama House based on so many positive reviews. We arrived to a room that was beautifully decorated and very large. Everything was fine until we entered the bathroom. The floor was dirty, the toilet had stains, the toilet seat had urine stains, and the... more

Stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon (we're in our 40s) and loved our host John, our room, and the experience. BHI is centrally located, John is very helpful and friendly, the full breakfast is fantastic, and the rooms are charming and comfortable. You do have to get used to the street noise and roosters - which can be... more

We stayed here for a few days the end of May based on the other reviews. First time we've ever tried a Bed & breakfast, and we loved it. We were just expecting a kingsized bed & bath, but John led us to the room by the gazebo with french doors opening on the deck, the room had its own... more

My fiance and I stayed at the BH for four nights in May 2007 and had a wonderful time. This was our first trip to Harbour Island, and my first trip to the Bahamas since mid 90s (Been to the Abacos 7 times). John the owner is very nice and very knowledgeable about everything on the island. We stayed in... more

We stayed here 4 years ago, in May 2003, for 4 nights. I wanted to experience a quieter part of the Bahamas, as my husband and I aren't into majorly tourist-y areas. After some research, (and the idea that I really wanted to see some pink sand!), I found Harbour Island, and shortly stumbled upon Bahama House (B.H.). Were we... more

This is a lovely place; quite bohemian, relaxing, just what you need to escape from the city. John is a truly great innkeeper. He could not have been kinder or more solicitous - and very knowledgeable about the island. The room was comfortable, the bathroom functional and breakfast excellent - although no poached eggs are on offer. The house itself... more

If you are going to the Bahamas, look no further. You can pay more money and have a golf course in your side yard OR you can go to the Bahama House. The island is quaint. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is out-of-this-world. The beach (two blocks away) is world class. It is beyond me why you... more

My husband and I went for a 4 days last Spring and we never wanted to leave. The host is fabulous - a real gem of a guy - and the island is gorgeous, quaint, suprisingly sophisticated with lovely restaurants and unbelievable sights to see. The pink beaches alone are fantastic and peaceful. This lovely place is just between town... more
