We arrived at Torre de Ruesga one dark wet September night (2005). From driving in the front gates, getting our bags from the car, and rushing to reception, we were completely impressed with the place and were looking forward to our stay. The building is magnificent and the grounds are impeccably kept.
You can imagine our disappointment when we discovered that it was the wrong hotel, we were meant to be at Aire de Ruesga which was a short distance up the mountain. The Manager kindly drew a map and rang Aire de Ruesga to inform them that we were on our way.
I had a wander around the common areas of Torre de Ruesga and it made such an impression that I decided there and then that we would be back. The building and decor are more than impressive, and there was a very pleasant atmosphere. Apparently the hotel does not have a star rating, being classified as Rural Accomodation, well on first impressions it seems to be a star in it's own right.
