Stayed at the hotel during a "garden party", complete with band and barbecue. The room rate was very reasonable, the band and barbecue were very enjoyable and the welcome was typically Scottish. Very warm and generous. The sausages and bread buns for breakfast were very well received!!

This is one of the few places sited to allow a walker to use the Forth & Clyde Canals between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
