The man on reception was helpful and friendly - that is the only positive. Room was not clean - bathroom had strong urine smell and the carpet hadn't seen a hoover for a while. Turning (only accessible from one side of the dual carriageway) appears without warning so you have quite a dangerous sharp exit from the carriageway. two choices... more

We were booked in for three nights in this travel lodge, in the family room round the back of the hotel so didn't suffer from lack of sleep due to the traffic but lack of sleep due to a delightful cockrel's continuous alarm call from 4am onwards ! We had to sleep with the windows open due to the soaring... more

We had a bit of trouble finding it late at night. It's on a dual carriage way and we had to go a long way past it before we could turn around and come back. Hotel was as expected basic but for £29 good value for money. We booked the family room as you get a bit more space. Little... more

My partner and I stayed here in February 2009 for one night. The Travelodge isn't well signposted off the dual carriage way and is very easy to miss, especially in the dark. The Travelodge is slightly set back from the road, there is a Little Chef closer to the road which looks exactly like some creepy haunted mansion from a... more

Stayed here for one night while visiting freinds in the area. Had a family room wich was clean and comfortable we didn't have any trouble with noise as we were at the back, the bathroom was a bit scruffy and the shower was all scaled up and sprayed everywhere but considering we only payed £19 for the room thought it... more

Booked on the internet with a £30 rate and we considered this to be excellent value for money. If you're looking for the Ritz you don't stay at Travelodge but for a night's sleep on the road or a short break this is perfectly good and has all you need. Yes, there was a bit of a smell of damp... more

Spent a night here last week. Check in was ok, but the hotel appears to be one of the older ones in the group. Corridors smelt of damp and the ceiling panels were stained. Door to the room didn't fit the frame and the bathroom was shockingly outdated with the grout between the tiles stained and a "deactivated" towel rail.... more

I stayed here for two nights with my best friend prior to a wedding we were going to in Cambridge. We managed to get the room for £26/night - an absolute bargain for a clean, spacious room which had everything we needed. We did not notice any noise, and the Little Chef next door was great for breakfast. Highly recommend... more

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was fine. We did not find the traffic noise a problem but we were at the back of the hotel. The room was large, with a double bed and a sofa-bad, and clean. There is a Little Chef right outside which does a nice breakfast and gives a discount to people staying at... more

Stayed overnight breaking a long journey. I got a cheap web deal and it only cost £26. I think that I got value for money, just. It is VERY close to the A1, lots of traffic noise on the front side of the building, if I wasn't so tired with travelling I may have struggled to drop off to sleep.... more
