The rooms are toilets are kept very clean, as are communal areas and hallways- a great effort from the cleaning staff as the guest-house has a pretty high turnover from what we have seen. The manageress is very friendly and helpful, and has helped to make our trip to Tanah Rata as stress free as possible- she evenb moved us... More

We didn't have a bad experience in here. We arrived at night, and they had a room for us with attached bathroom. The attention was nice and there was a nice enviroment. Next morning, it started raining and there was a flooding in the street behind, which made impossible to other tourist to go to the hotels located in that... More

The rooms are small, mouldy smelling, dirty & loud, walls and ceiling are thin (only carton-like), bed uncomfortable & cold, window broken, only showing corridor. Staff is incompetent: reservation with partial-pre-paiments was lost, we had to argue long to get the room we booked, and to not pay the already pre-done payment via there website during reservation process again. I faced the same situation with one the review below. Was in Cameron Highland in Chinese New Year and everywhere was full. In the morning I called to Twin Pines to book a bed in the dorm room for that night and the man answering the phone said there was one bed available for me. I arrived at 7pm, after... More

Pros- location and size of double room. Cons- dirty, NOISEY plus plus plus, walls that seem to enhance the noise! Cold according to a different backpacker who stayed in her own room without the advantage of body heat from a double bed. You can get much better for less money literally down the road.

I must admit it was a lousy time to be traveling. Chinese new year was in full swing and I knew beds would be hard to come by. So I researched, called and booked a room at the twin pines. After a long day ~8 hours on the bus I just wanted to get to the room and relax. The... More

This place is okay. Its in a great location but the rooms are so-so. The place is reasonably clean and its very quiet at night. We liked the garden area where we met some fellow travellers. We have had worse and we have had better so average it is then!

You usually get what you pay for, but I'd say this place is a little overpriced at RM110 (~US$37, weekend rate) for a joyless but reasonably clean triple room with variable hot water and no breakfast. Please note that the new rates are not posted on the website. On the plus side, the location is good - it's close to... More

We found 2 bed bugs on the wood base in the first room they gave us. We ask to switch and they gave us another room at the opposite of the first one that was supposed to be "alright". They said they were surprised because the first one never had problems... Well we found another one on the mattress in... More

Only really good if you're looking for a wee place to get completely mouldy/sweaty/creamy #veryenjoyablenight its a lot of fun cause people from down the other end of corridor can hear you whisper so you can't heavy destroy them for doing really hn activites such as losing their train ticket and buying a new one with group money #niceonematethanksforthat but...
