i stayed here for my brother's wedding and thought it was a lovely place, the wedding was also held here which went very well and the grounds are great for photos. my room was very roomy as was the bathroom, i think my room looked bigger than the bridal suite but maybe that's because their room was packed with suitcases... more

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was clear that a refurishment had taken place. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a large flatscreen television. There was a large bar and restaurant which was modern and inviting with an extensive menu. Breakfast was cooked to order and the staff were very hellpful and friendly. i will definately... more

Stayed for 1 night while attending a family function. Hotel nothing like the website makes out. Initially quite dissapointed when we arrived. Although the room was nothing like we expected, it was clean and comfortable. Bed also seems small. My Husbands feet were at the end of the bed! The dining room is modern and has a completely different feel... more

Work paid for the room but I can still give an opinion. Theres nothing really fancy about the his hotel although the bar and restaurant is quite nice but again nothing fancy. My only gripe was with the bathroom (Room 23), it was rather mucky/grubby around the bath area which was disappointing when the room would normally cost the public... more

We stayed one night as my brother was getting married nearby, website looked really good, booked executive room. we were able to book in early, staff very friendly & helpful- unfortunately the room DIDN'T meet our expectations of an 'executive room'. There were no 'specialised' toiletries or tissues, towels were small, basic, blackened grout around shower area over bath. there... more

Booked for a one night stay using a hotel search website. Rate for one night was £35 including breakfast in en-suite standard room. Reading other reviews I knew hotel was near a railway line so rang the hotel to ask about this. Very helpful and said that odd numbered rooms faced away from the railway. When booking on internet asked... more

Well, we did only stay one night but it was pretty bad! The room was right next to a railway line and trains were quite frequent and loud. The cleanliness of the room could also have been improved, private body hairs found in numerous places in the bathroom plus head hair on the welcome tea tray. Room decor was dated... more

Stayed in this hotel, a couple of minutes drive off the M6. Not exactly a country house, but a pleasant enough building all the same. Arrived quite late, reception still manned and staff polite and informative. Room was spaceous and clean. Only downside was it was at the end of a very long corridor and next to a railway line,... more
