Stayed with a group of 19 golfers. Hotel accommodation very nice, and friendly staff. Food was excellent. Golf course very challenging, especially the greens which are very fast and take some getting used to, some nicely laid out holes, only spoilt by an overly difficult 17th (well for me anyway!). Would recommend the hotel and golf course.

Saint-Saens / Vaudichon is a beautiful and rather tough golf course, about half-an-hour north of Rouen. The course is well maintained and quite varied (be sure to come with a supply of spare balls!) - worth a detour. The château has a hotel (which seems very nice) and a restaurant that serves simple and good food at very reasonable prices... More

Just back from a lovely three day break in this charming location. We have visited here before and were not disappointed upon our return. We stayed in the converted stable block and the room was very spacious and comfortable. Again the food was great although we thought they could have done a bit better with breakfast - no toaster and... More

Spent 3 nights with 3 games of golf. Food excellent with generous portions, shame there wasn't anywhere comfortable to sit and have a drink after having a meal (bar area all set out with tables and chairs). Staff friendly and efficient and worked very hard.We stayed in the annexe which was clean and comfortable, the only drawback was it rained... More

I went with a party of 16 to play four rounds of golf. The course was a disappointment. This was because all non par threes needed a 180 plus drive in the air to reach the fairway. If you were short the rough everywhere would swallow the ball. There was no first cut before the fairway started so balls were... More

Just got back from a golfbreak at the Chateau. We thought it was a great hotel for golfers and non golfers alike. Rooms in the main chateau and also in an annexe building. The annexe where we stayed was very comfortable and seemed newly refurbished. The hotel lacks facilities like a pool etc, but the golf course is excellent and... More

Just got back from short golf break at St Saens. What a find-we shall definitely return. We had a room in the chateaux, overlooking the first tee- huge ,recently refurbished with enormous comfortable bed and large bathroom. The golf course was challenging in places offering fantastic views of the chateau for the first 6 holes ,followed by holes through a forest opening out...
