we went to branston hall for the murder mystery night , we booked in febuary and were really excited about going, to start with we were told to order our wine for our table before we sat down, so we went to place our order to be told by the waitress we dont need to do that as we get... more

My friend and I went for lunch there as treat for her birthday, the lunch menu was very expensive over £5.00 for a sandwich but we didn't mind paying as it was a treat, the menu read chunky chips which were over £4.00 per bowl, which again didn't mind as we thought they would be proper chips. We were waiting... more

Stayed here 19.09.09 for my best friends wedding, where I was a bridesmaid. Things started badly when I called to book a room back in April, and was told by a very surly receptionist that "we don't give wedding parties discounts" and "we need a 50% deposit now to secure the booking"! We had just returned from a trip to... more

We booked this hotel so we could have a night out in Lincoln. The booking was made through LateRooms, andthey have thelocation wrong on their system, which we discovered before we went.On arrival the propertylooked very impressive. Lovely spacious gardens, staff werepleasant andattentive, but the room! We do quitef frequently book similar hotels, usually paying a littleless than this, (we... more

My boyfriend booked us a 2 night stay here on a DB&B basis as part of my 30th birthday present. Having read the other reviews, he made the decision to book a superior room as he was worried about us being near the function room where the weddings are held. We were put in room 216, which was on the... more

I have stayed here previously and continue to do so as myself and my workmates recommend this hotel over the others we have stayed at in Lincolnshire. The hotel is quite grand, old decor but clean and well maintained. The rooms are clean but a little cramped, beds are very comfortable. The food is very good and we found no... more

We stayed at Branston Hall for a Wedding in July 2009 and this review is more about the room than the Hall itself becuase the service and food at the wedding were all VERY good. Branston Hall is set in lovely grounds, looks great and retains lots of character and hence I was surprised by the standard of the room,... more

this hotel was very impressive but not the quiet romantic getaway i thought it would be . Grounds were beautiful and the room had a adorable view. The room was excellent and clean as was the bathroom with double bath. the restaurant served perfect food. We thought the portions seemed really small until we tried to finish the meal. the... more

We couldn't make use of the beautiful grounds, because of the heavy down pours. Reception staff were rather indifferent, not impressive. The rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. We loved our very comfy bed, not too keen on carpeted bathrooms, our bathroom was somewhat tired, otherwise very happy with the amenities. more

We wanted to visit the beautiful city of Lincoln with its magnificent cathedral, but also to avoid the problem of overnight parking, so chose Branston Hall and what a splendid choice this turned out to be. This incredibly beautiful house standing in 88 acres of woodland with lakes and flower-beds provided excellent overnight accommodation at very reasonable rates. Wonderfully comfortable... more
