I have stayed at the Branston on numerous occasions over the last 6 months and have difficulty in faulting it from the perspective of the business traveller. The staff almost trip over themselves to be helpful and always come across as friendly. There is an eclectic mix of rooms, varying in size and furnishings, but I am yet to be... more

Had 2 nights stay in the Hotel at the weekend and it was lovely. There was a peaceful ambience about the place, even though there was a wedding taking place. The room we had was abit small but was adequate and had all the facilities, TV, hairdryer, towels etc. The bed was really comfortable and the shower worked well. The... more

I treated my partner to a weekend away for his birthday and what a fabulous weekend we had! The hotel has this old colonial feel about it even down to the music playing in the bar area. Our four poster room was gorgeous and the whole place was full of character, yes some of the decor was a bit worn... more

Branston Hall is a peaceful hotel in lovely countryside. The rooms are spaceous and clean the food is excellent. Mobile phone signal inside the building is non-existant, there is no television in the bar so it is possible to have a quiet drink more

Stayed here on business for a week, and whilst tthe hotel is set in beautiful grounds, it is not geared up for business use. There is insufficient space in the rooms to use a laptop, although there is free wi-fi. It is very hard to get a mobile phone signal so you have to walk into the car park (which... more

I stayed one night on business. The grounds and views from my room were lovely, and what you would expect from a country hotel. The room was smaller than average and the dresing table was not big enough to use my laptop on so I had to sit on the bed which was inconvenient. The room did have a fan,... more

This hotel is exactly what a country house hotel should be. The drive up to the hotel is through parkland with a variety of mature trees. The reception staff were courtious and attentive. We were in a Luxury double room (122), The room was individually furnished complete with all the facilities, tea-making, trouser press, information, that we wanted. Lots of... more

We attended a wedding at Branston Hall and after being romanced by the long drive up to the traditional hotel decided to stay for the night following the ceremony. Although the outside and the main entrance hall were fantastic, we were both left with a feeling as if that certain "je ne sais quoi" was missing from our stay. Our... more

I booked this hotel for a relaxing spa retreat as a treat for myself and a friend. I was not in the slightest bit dissapointed. The hotel was fabulous, the bar was friendly as were the other relaxing areas, reading rooms and pool. We had the pool and spa to ourselves. The food was very good indeed and the portions... more

We stayed here as wedding guests, and found we had room 201. A previous reviewer has already written about room 201, and sent illustrative photos, so I don't need to describe it. Suffice to say it is very restrictive for two, and difficult to ventilate as the tiny window is set in a corner. The room was clean, as was... more
