Last time I went down to Baja Cali I stayed at Baja Mar resort so I took a chance in booking at Hotel Las Dunas being that it has very few reviews on the internet and doesn't appear to be well known. I must say I was rather pleased. For starters it is away from all of the hustle and bustle yet only a 5 minute taxi ride (If that) to all of the shopping and clubs. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar that has decent food but of course better deals are to be had downtown. It is near a residential area and it appears the locals there like the bar at the hotel. So if you like your peace and quiet on the weekend I recommend you ask for a room situated away from the bar (All of the suites are far enough away from the bar). On alot of the booking sites they don't advertise the hotel as having a pool but they do have both a pool and spa. The spa is small but large enough for a couple to enjoy their time in there.
