My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Perla during the first three days of a two week vacation in Baja California Sur. We chose this particular hotel because it is right on the Malecon in walking distance to several shops, bars and restaurants (very safe to walk even at night). It is also about four blocks from the terminal turistica... More

I stayed her two times during a motorcycle ride to the tip of Baja. The first night I had no hot water but the second time everything was perfect. They even moved cars around in the parking garage to let us park our motorcycles more securely.

we stayed a week in Hotel Perla. The hotel is located in the hart of Malecon which really is convenient because you can get anywhere by foot. The hotel actually is not state of the art, quite old. Nevertheless well maintained. The rooms are clean and everything was working well. Aircondition, TV, Fan, Fridge, Shower, etc. Nothing to complain and... More

I would stay at the Hotel Perla again, except for the noise. We requested an ocen view, with a kingsize bed and we got it. Big mistake especially on a weekend! I read they have a lot of parades on the Malecon (main strip) but I wasn't prepared for them to go all through Satuday night. Things finally quieted down... More

John Steinbeck's novel, the pearl, is about a man who discovers potential wealth when he finds an enormous pearl while harvesting oysters in the Sea of Cortez. What seemingly is a great asset turns out to be more of a liability and as the story unfolds, the discovered pearl ultimately destroys his family. Although a stay at La Perla probably... More

Clean rooms. Helpful staff, although we had to wait 30 minutes for check-in during chaotic peak period around 1 PM check-out time, and we had to settle for two double beds despite having had a reservation for a king bed. Wimpy shower. Good beds. Central location is very convenient to shopping and tourist services. Limited parking; great if you can... More

My mom and I stayed here for a single night this Christmas. The hotel is very cute, in need of some upgrades, but bright and clean. It's right in the middle of the boardwalk, and the cute shoe stores are a block away (16 de septiembre) as well as a Sears. The amount of English spoken in La Paz is... More

The rooms were clean and it's in town, but nothing to rave about. Service was nice and helped us find our room, which was a little complicated coming from the parking level, but I would suggest something out of town or nicer.

Just spent 3 nights at La Perla, Dec 2012. It was very easy to find, as I was arriving by car and had never been to la Paz before. The hotel has a great central location on the malecon, which is its saving grace. The rooms are basic, mine was loud and the windows were not well sealed. It looked... More
