El Angel Azul is a gem. It was built with love. It's simple (not luxurious), eco-concious, clean and decorated in a way that captures the spirit of the Baja California peninsula - laid back, colorful, relaxing. It's also walking distance from the beach and the malecon. Everyone on the staff is friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed here... more

We happened upon El Angel Azul, when the inn keeper for the other B&B we found wasn't available and no one could speak English, although we tried a little bit of Spanish. El Angel Azul is a courtyard type of B&B with clean rooms and a nice innkeeper and staff. I'd recommend it for folks who need to be somewhere... more

If you go to beautiful and authentic La Paz. don't hesitate a minute to stay for a few days at Angel Azul Bed and Breakfast. It is the perfect place to regain one's peace of mind in a wonderful setting all imagined and created by a caring and friendly host, Esther with her 2 dogs and a cat. Her team... more

We stepped into the historic and lovely office and common area at El Angel Azul and were welcomed and made at home by Esther and her staff, who were helpful and accommodating in an attentive yet casual manner. The central garden area is lush, breakfast in the garden a treat, and reading on a side bench relaxing. The guest rooms... more

Hi All! Sorry this is a couple months behind schedule, although the memories are still quite vivid... As we walked through the deep blue wooden doors of El Angel Azul we were immediately greeted by the welcoming smiles of the friendly and professional staff. The inn itself is as charming and as authentic as one could hope for. The rooms,... more

Our sea kayaking outfitter recommended El Angel Azul for a trip I took to la Paz with four friends in May. I am so happy I took their advice. El Angel Azul is a quintessential Mexican inn. The historic building in which it is housed has been lovingly and faithfully restored. If character is what you are seeking, this is... more

With this being our first time to La Paz, we were thankful that we found Esther and El Angel Azul. She has created a beautiful, simple in it's taste, elegance that makes you want to come back to her B&B. Esther, a beautiful Swiss-German woman, brims with vitality. She has a keen sense of what kind of stay that you... more

We just spent a few days in La Paz and stayed at El Angel Azul. The place is very clean, tastefully decorated, quiet, and just a few blocks from the Melacon. The owner is very friendly and helpful as is the staff. We had to leave early every morning, and Esther arranged to serve us breakfast earlier than they normally... more

We stayed at El Angel Azul for part of our honeymoon trip to Baja. We were wowed from the moment we walked into the foyer. The garden is impecably landscaped. The courtyard is warm, inviting, and like a little paradise perfectly located in downtown La Paz. It is close enough to walk to everything yet far enough off the main... more
