Hacienda Del Sol's elaborate website leaves one with the distinct impression that it is situated adjacent to La Paz and and within 100 yards of a lovely beach. When we arrived, we found that the place was some 30 km from La Paz (USD$25 taxi one way) and there are basically no services available in the vicinity. The beach is... more

i stayed in a cabana for 6 night in Jan 28 - Feb 02, 2006. originally i sent an email to Dr. Everhardo, the owner, checking availability. Oh~ no rooms available. NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!! We enjoyed his visit and as usually if we have nice guests, we go out of our way to really spoil them. Yes, it really was a pity not to ask about the price. We reserved for him a Cabana at an Italian setup and made a reservation deposit of $ 100 Dollar. Even so...
