This hotel was included as part of a 8-day package tour from El Paso, Texas through Mexico’s Copper Canyon to El Fuerte and back. We didn’t have a choice of hotels, but who cares? This place was wonderful! Glad we didn’t experience the food poisoning or bad meals of the earlier poster. On the contrary, everything with our stay was... more

A train to copper canyon took almost 7 hours from El Fuerte to this place.... When we arrived, I noticed most of the customers are elderly people part of large groups (age above 65). We were definitively the youngest persons around We had NO choice on the food (server in a large dining room sitting on large tables - no... more

The hotel was great and the food was delicious. The room was charming and comfortable. The view was beyond compare. We so enjoyed the hike to the cave dwellings. We could have spent so much tmore time here. more

The view from the Posada Barrancas Mirador is magnificant, the rooms are nice and clean but very basic. Unfortunately the food was horrible. Upon my arrival after a 7 hour train ride the only thing they had to offer was fried fish (no menu nor any other choices) and for dinner it was a repeat, pasta with a small piece... more

Loved -loved-loved this place! It had loads of charm with an incredible view. Lots of great hiking right outside your door. Horseback riding too! Even though we traveled with a tour group, we found the food quite good here. Maybe they had a change in chefs? The staff even made extra meals for my teenage son, who was a bottomless... more

Like I said in the title, the view is something else and that's what they are going on at this place. For the money, you'd think they could hire a real chef. Instead they told us we had to eat between 7 and 8 in a cafeteria style atmosphere with this huge travel group that came through. And they were... more

This hotel has a great location and there is a full view of the canyon from every room. The staff is warm and welcoming but the food is "boarding school" awful!! I haven't had such bad food at a nice hotel in a very long time. No butter for bread, toast, biscuits or pancakes-some sort of lard is offered. Chef... more

We walked in and asked for a room in the property across the road from El Mirador. This section is also from Posada Barrancas but it is for Congresses. We paid a third of the Mirador prices but could still eat at the big dinning room and sit at the terrace the whole day admiring landscape and the many hummingbirds... more

We loved our stay at this adobe cliffside hotel! Our room was on the third floor and the view was spectacular at any time of the day or star filled night. Although it gets cool (8000' elevation) and you'll need a coat after the sun sets. The floor of our room had mexican tiles and there was a kiva fireplace... more
