I have been a regular overnight guest at this fine historic hotel. John Wayne and Claudette Cobert stayed here back in the day when making western movies in the area. Chose this hotel based on the review claiming it was a "five-star in disguise" and also based on the hotel's website. While the hotel was fine, it was nothing more than average, even for Mexico: the room was spacious and the beds firm, but the bathroom was only adequately clean, the furnishings rudimentary, no carpet or high-end floor covering (just... more

This is the best 4-star hotel I've ever been at so far. Prices are great, rooms are really comfy, and the service is outstanding. I loved it!!! People in there are really nice. more
