To me, the feeling of staying in a centuries old building is unique. It has been remodeled for modern comfort - unfortunately they missed a few beats during the remodeling so the bathrooms are totally out of style.
Built around a courtyard in colonial style, with a lovely garden in the back, it lets the traveler literally step back in time.
Some rooms (ground floor) have a lot of original details, including the original tile floor and have the highest ceilings I have seen in my life (30 feet, I guess?). The reason for that is that horsemen actually entered the room on their horses (and slept with their horses, apparently), at the time. Some original rooms do not have windows, the more modern ones do.
You can even eat at the 200 year big table (the 'meson' which gives the name to this kind of inn).
Steps from the main square, and at a good price, definitely the best place to stay if you like the 'vintage' feeling.
