We have just returned from a week at the Elcano which we thoroughly enjoyed. While it's true that there was a slight smell of sewage in our room on occasion, the same smell exists on the street - this is a 3rd world country after all!! We didn't find the hotel noisy at all. While this hotel is centrally located on the bay beach front, it is dated and not well maintained.
