I just returned yesterday from my 2009 Spring Break with a few of my friends. Before I begin you have to know I am not a big complainer and can deal with adversary. Now....This hotel was the worst piece of [--] I have ever seen. It’s a rundown, dirty, smelly, hellhole. The hotel was a mix of spring breakers and... more

We've just returned from a 6 weeks stay at La Palapa in Acapulco. We loved Acapulco so much that we are returning , again at La Palapa next year for 5 months. The building does need a bit of tender loving care. The hotel itself is part hotel, part condo. The condo we had rented was very well maintained. The... more

I have been to Acapulco 3 years in a row for spring break. This is NOT a family hotel (especially during college spring break). If you want a wild time, then this is the place. The pool parties are out of control. Do not get the all inclusive, it's definitely not worth it. There is a huge Walmart in walking... more

Would definitely not recommend the hotel or else return to it. I thought I was getting a lot of value for my money, but other than the fact that it is a beach hotel, maintenance is negligible at best. We had a roach walk on us while staying there and also a leak in our bathroom which I dare not... more

A friend of mine has an apartment in La Palapa so we spent a lot of time in this hotel, if you are looking for a luxury hotel with nice restaurants this is not the place. Rooms are big, 70s style, sometimes you have the kitchenette open and that is a good deal. The pool area is quite nice; the... more

by "All Inclusive" they mean a fold up table with a the cheapest bottles of vodka, tequila and rum they can find with a cooler of OJ, cranberry, diet coke and watery daiquiri mix. Then they have the balls to put a "one drink per person" sign in front. The food made my middle school cafeteria look like the Palm.... more

I just returned from La Palapa in Acapulco and have to say it was not to bad. I mean the room was quite OK, just the bathroom doesn't look so nice. But if you're like me and just want to sleep there, it's a good one for really good money!! Everything was just working fine, even the stuff were extremely... more

We just returned from our third 1-week visit to Acapulco staying each time at La Palapa. We join our parents for 1 week as they are there for 6-8 weeks every winter. The cost for us as visitors was $10.00(US) per day per person. Our room was spacious with a pull out couch, and two beds in a separate bedroom... more
