Stayed at the Balboa Towers from Jan. 22 to Feb. 5 , one week each in units 401 and 1401. These are huge one bedroom units. The two bedroom are even better. This is not a resort as some people may expect. there are only 52 units in this building with 4th floor and up with only 2 per floor.... more

We stayed in the 'new' room at the Club, right on the water w/ the jacuzzi on the deck. Wonderfully remodeled room, etc. wish the TVs received more than the 3.25 channels...LOL. Balboa Club is far from being a 5 star hotel. The few ads that I read online about the hotel gave me little information to go by so we just had to make our own impression of the hotel when we arrived. I feel that it was not of what it is supposed to be. How could they not have an iron and/or ironing table in the entire building. Elevators at time seem non accessible. It is sad that you have to keep track of your own towel or else there is a huge fine. I did appreciate the help. They are... more

Hi well I was there for time #4 and once again had a great time. All of the staff are so great and we never have trouble getting anything that we need...towels, ect. Some of the rooms are better than others but that is just part of a MEXICAN TIME renovation process...I really think that it is a great place... more

Our daughter and boyfriend just returned on 03/01/03 and said that the units are run-down. Also we felt that due to we own a 1-bedroom that they'd receive a 1-bedroom. No, they received a studio on road side, toilet, shower leaked, closet doors were broken etc etc. Its a shame we've been owners for 20 years. more
