For what it was, it was great. We paid $17 per night back in '94 - and did not spend any time there anyhow! All the hotels in the area allow you on their beaches, so we took great advantage of that. more

This is not a 5 star hotel.....when you go cheap you're not getting top of the line. The place is dated but clean, pool perhaps needs a face lift but you'll almost always get a lounge chair. The staff was outstanding and they treated me like a queen. Location was perfect....can't wait to return this winter. more
I have been reading about so many disgusted or disatisfied travelers who have stayed at the Las Palmas hotel. Myself, I have stayed there 3 times in the last few years and never had a problem with rooms, the staff, the meals, or the management. Personally, I found them to be helpful in many ways, the saved me money on... more
Beautiful pool and nice grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are nasty. I spent two weeks at this hotel. The only thing good in these rooms in the air conditioning. We have fleas in the beds, mosquitoes, cockroaches and spiders in our rooms. The linens were grey, and looked like they hadn't been washed, toilets worked on occasion, hot... more
WOW... what an exciting place to be. I laughed at all those country club cats who PAID for their rooms while i got the same exact product at Las Palmas for half the cost. The staff is excellent, and the rooms are very traditional. This hotel is definately a 4 star. I cant wait to stay there again. more

I've stayed in seedy places in the U.S. but this place was the bottom of the barrel. Bathroom reminded me of a run down gas station restroom on a rural country road. There... more
We were very disappointed in this place. The lack of maintenance shows in the dirty poolside, a bathroom that was below acceptable standards. The staff is friendly enough, but a hotel should provide coathangers, and you shouldn't have to ask for clean towels. The music from the bar is so loud that it is impossible to sit outside from 10am... more
My friend and I stayed there for 2 weeks. What a dissapointment. We were so jealous of the people who got to stay at nicer hotels. The grounds were nice, huge pool and very spread out, but the rooms and "amenities" were awful. The maids used the same dirty water to clean the floors in all the rooms, so the... more
