My girlfriend and I arrived at the Playa Mazatlan at 3:00 p.m. February 13 and were immediately checked in to our room, which was overlooking the ocean and the dinning room. Our room was very clean, we had all the features of a four or five start hotel (which I have stayed in) maybe not as rich but comfortable. We... more

We arrived Nov. 29, 2007 and left-with such sorrow!-on Dec. 5. We had a glorious room (#305) right on the ocean (it seemed we were right "on top"). The sound of the surf was fantastic, the hotel so very pretty and comfortable, grand views, bouganvillia, three pools, super palapa bar and restaurant on the beach, music, great service, happy hourS,... more

This was our second trip to Mazatlan and our first stay at the Emporio. We booked this hotel because there was to be no buffet, well that was all we got, our son had stayed here last year and told us each meal he had he was able to order off a menu, after checking with our travel agent we... more

My friend and I stayed at the Emporio for 3 nights at the end March for a girls weekend.. First the positives: Location was fantastic.. Within walking distance to food, shopping. Very cheap cab fare to get into the city. Room was clean. Smaller than expected, but served its purpose. The bed was super comfortable - and the comforter must... more

All the good stuff in past reviews are true, the staff and rooms are number one in my books. The noise level from the street make the street side units impossible for the average light sleeper. At 4 a.m. the idiot fringe is out with musical car horns, drunken shouting and all that goes with it such as screeching brakes... more

We stayed at the Emporio Jan 3-17'07: My husband and I, two daughters 14 & 17 and we brought their friend also 14. We truly felt at home here, and absolutely loved it!! Our room was simply amazing (Suite 200). Clean, clean, clean.... About the Suite: Bathroom: dual shower heads, large walk-in shower, excellent water pressure and always had plenty... more

I love the Emporio!! I took my daughter there for her 21st birthday and we were treated like royalty. The service was superb, the food delicious and the hotel was clean. What more could you ask for. The location is great, walking distance of many shops or just a few dollars to the market. I can't say enough good things... more

My husband and I recently returned from our Xmas stay at the Emporio Mazatlan. We found the hotel to be to our liking. It's located right on the beach. The hotel is shaped like a "U" with all room balconies facing pool/ocean. Very nice view. They had nice pool furniture and umbrellas but as usual not enough chairs for the... more

MAZATLAN- THE RIVIERA HOTEL- TREATED US LIKE FAMILY My sister and I stayed at the Riviera from January 22, 2006 til Feb 5, 2006. Upon arriving we were checked in right away with a smile; and from that time on we were treated like family. The rooms were spotless, the restaurant and bar service was awesome. We did not go... more

The Riviera is PRIME location - close to upscale hotels, resuarants, shopping. Pool is nice, clean. We were there during Carnival - DO NOT miss the parade, bull fight, other cultural stuff going on if you are there during Carnival. It's an experience you'll remember. The riviera is a great deal for the price. Lots of REALLY LOUD spring breakers... more
