Just returned from a week at the Costa Bonita and loved it. We were a little apprehensive about booking there after reading some of the reviews on this website. We have two and a half year old twins so we were a little scared of the "cranky owner" who would be taking great pleasure in scolding our kids. Well as... more

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little concerned about my choice in places to stay. I think the negative reviews are a bit overblown. My beach vacation is about relaxing, so not having loud pool activities and very few children was a positive thing to me. There was food and beverage service at the beach, although not... more

We rented from an owner the last 10 days of December 2007. It was unseasonably cold (55-60 degrees with a stiff north wind!) which really put a damper on the time you would want to spend on the beach. The ground floor condo was very nice and I would recommend it (search for Al and Amy's Oceanfront Getaway). The condo... more

Although this condo is not horrible it is NOT by any stretch of the imagination a RESORT like it says in its title. If you are looking for a resort stay please book somewhere else. The beach and pool are nice but virtually no activities and definitely NO service by the pool or beach. You had to chase the waiter... more

Costa Bonita is not for everyone. It is safe, clean, well maintained, lush, and hosts a beautiful beach. It really is best for a couple (or couples) who want a quieter vacation. The reason is it is off the beat-and-path north of the new Marina on New Mazatlan. Just a couple of restaurants close by. The complex has many seasonal... more

Rented Unit 105A from owner David Delgado. Was to be there for 5 weeks, 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 small dog. Staff was very rude from the get go and a lot of the owners don't like renters/ guests so they try and make your life miserable. Rules are only enforced when they want to bust your @$$. One owner... more

I read the reviews prior to coming, but didn't believe they could be true....boy was I wrong ..read this before you book. The hotel staff must really hate their jobs, they were the rudest "hospitality" staff I have ever encountered. We had four people, but were only given 2 towels ( no wash cloth's, hand towels, just two ratty towels... more

This is a great beach, very secluded and quite. Uncrowded and fun. I give it a 5 star for the beach. Pool was ok, grounds were nice. 4 star. A cab ride into town runs around $6 one way. This is a great place if you want to soak up sun and play in the surf. The beach made up... more

During our stay at Costa Bonita we called it a "ghost town." There weren't too many folks around. It was a very quiet and peaceful place. The staff was friendly but not overly outgoing. As far as the guest population I would say it was predominantly older people. There were some families, no college kids, and I think my husband... more

The suite is what I am really giving 5 start to. The overall resort is a 4star. If you want a quiet location away from the time share guys and all the vendors, then this place is perfect. You never have to worry about the water pressure or getting hot then cold water in the shower. The pool is usually... more
