We enjoyed our stay very much, The staff are very helpful, we upgraded to an ocean view on the 6th floor.......stellar !!!!! There is lots to do, and many good restaurants nearby. That's a good thing because the food is so so. But we went down for the sun anyhow. more

The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by fun restaurants & shops. You are within walking distance to everything. When we first arrived and went to the front desk, the doorman went and got us some beers, while we were checking in. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The tradtional mexican food that they served was very... more

The San Marino Hotel was a very nice, clean, centrally located, informal hotel with excellent, friendly and helpful staff. The only negative note was that it is not handicapped accessible as you must traverse two to three flights of steps to the restaurants and the beach. The sidewalks and the streets in the romantic zone can also be a challenge... more

The food was horrible. Had to go to local restaurants to eat. Could'nt relax at the pool as they played irritating music extremely loud all day. One bar available always lined up. Room was not clean. more

Okay, amigos. Here's my review of the San Marino Hotel and our stay there. My girlfriend and I live in the Minneapolis, MN area, and we have very long, cold winters, so we love to go to Mexico in February before the spring break crowd hits. We have been to Cancun and Playa del Carmen, and love it there, but... more

Couldn't ask for a better location. We walked the Malecon every morning and evening. Nothing special about the rooms, and yes, the beds were hard but after a long day in the sun, there were no problems sleeping at night, and the rooms were clean. As for the food, again, nothing special but we were always full after every meal... more

My wife and I recently came back from our honeymoon at the San Marino. We were worried when we read the review about the food and the hotel. We have friend who go to Mexico every year and they have been staying at the San Marino for years. When we arrived they were very helpful and friendly. Our first night... more

Although my first impression was good we were extremely disappointed that they had a policy of new visitors to your room. We had close friends staying in Mexico and wanted to spend time with them and they were not allowed in our room and could only hang out at the hotel if they spent money drinking. It made us feel... more
