named own price on priceline and got the sheraton for $64 a night plus tax. then hotel upgraded us to the starwood member floor which had rooms with huge balconies. if you are staying at this hotel ask for the 14th floor with the ocean view. the balconies are huge and the view is fantastic. when naming your own price... more

We took a chance and visited PV during the off season. Yes, there were many restaurants closed and fewer activity options, but for the most part it was awesome. Don't think you can escape the attempted sales pitch by booking direct with hotel. Some of the "Club" sales reps can be downright unrelenting! We literally dreaded walking in front of the activity counter where these vultures perch themselves daily. Same as previous reviews, this is a great spot to stay if you want to be close to town, or the Malecon. This is probably the oldest hotel in Puerto Vallarta - over 20 yrs old.
