We stayed there 9/26-10/2. It was the rainy season and did indeed rain almost every night from 5-7pm and sometimes from 5-10pm. It kinda stunk if you wanted to be outside then but we worked around it--it certainly was low season--not many travelers--got extra attention and never had to wait for a table!!!
