These are privately owned condos; the ones for rent are managed by a small team of locals (Maria, I think, is the main contact). I rented an end unit Studio apartment for one week. It had no AC but after a few days my body adjusted, especially as there was a lovely ocean breeze that came in the HUGE windows. (However, if you require AC you might ask for a different unit.) The view was AMAZING -- my unit looked right out onto the ocean and Playa Madera beach. You must be able to walk stairs to get down to the beach... which is normal for most of Zihua as it's on a cliff. The pool is small with no view and was overrun with local families and children when I was there. But who hangs out by a pool when you have the Atlantic Ocean only a few feet away ?! more
