As member of the Tesoros group you would expect far more. Its not more than a pretty average hotel charging too high rates. Rooms are noisy. The restaurant is ok though. Location is good to visit the volcano Paricutin or the park in front of the hotel. Its visited mainly by middle class mexicans.

I found this a lovely, safe place to stay. I did not realize that there is a lot of rain in Uruapan from June through Sept, But I decided not to give up and the Office staff who luckily spoke english, arranged for a Tour guide/taxi driver to show me the sights of the area. It only cost $15 CDN... More

This is a charming hotel with beautiful grounds and is located right next to the upper entrance to the "Singing Waters" National Park. We had a lsrge and lovely room with french doors that opened out toward the park. Quiet with the lovely sound of the waterfalls serenading us to sleep.. The on site restaurant had wonderful food at reasonable... More

Really nice hotel, it is a 4 stars, nice food, nice pool for kids and amazing view from National Park. If you have kids they will love it, it is in a antique Hacienda kind house, service is good, food is good, my rooms had a beautiful view and all nice (bath were nice, like a sheraton or other regular... I did not see a reason to leave this gorgeous hotel. The town square was ugly, ugly, ugly. Hotel was a dream, perfect pool, attentive staff, caged birds singing, it was glorious. Walking in the national park was a lot of fun, very unique. My kids loved this place. Bathroom was horrible.

We stayed here 2 nights on march 17th and 18th.. we really loved this hotel with its beautiful hacienda style..it really shows our beautiful mexican constructions... the hotel doesn´t have air conditioning..but Uruapan in the night is usually cold, so you won´t need it! We took breakfast in the hotel restaurant..but they told us they only have a buffet and... More

Stayed here regularly for a couple months while doing some work in Avocados... there are close to 1/4 million acres of avocados in this region... mostly for domestic consumption--- 90 million Mexicans eat a lot of guacamole!!! This hotel is very nice... rooms are decent size, with flowers on the beds and even in the toilet paper dispensers. The grounds... More

For a hotel well off the beaten path in western Michoacan, Mexico, the Mansion del Cupatitzio is a remarkable find. One of the main attractions in this city is the Parque Nacional Eduardo Ruiz which is located a few feet from the entrance to the hotel. The park follows the headwaters of the Rio Cupatitzio which are entirely within city... More
