We stayed here for 4 nights in August, 2002. The staff showed us a few rooms before we decided on one on the second floor. It overlooked the street (noisy) and had a broken bed frame. Plus, when we returned home after a night out, our toothpaste tube and sadly, our toothbrushes, were literally covered in cockroaches. We asked to move the next day and were quickly accommodated. The next room, on the third floor, was better but had poorly functioning electricity, so we asked to move again and spent the last two nights on the fourth floor which was quite decent. Not fancy, but had a working TV and clean bathroom.
The motel is right next to a noisy street but right in the center of things--just across the street from the Ballet Folklorico and the Cathedral. The low price makes it all worthwhile, especially if you only plan on being in your room to sleep.
