We stayed here after a long weekend in Leon. It was so nice and the staff was excellent I wish we didn't have to leave!!! It has amazing views of the scenery. It is a little ways maybe 5 minutes by cab to the city. AAAA+++++

I don't understand why you would stay here when there are better locations, views. Only if you want to pay highest price. It's a pretty, formal property. The spa was very unimpressive and even with an appointment, it was being cleaned and machinery out on the floor.

Had the most delicious, beautifully prepared lunch at this "jewel" of a hotel. As good as any 5 Star establishment in NYC or Paris. Beautifully appointed with nothing left to chance. I recommend the grilled shrimp with risotto to start.

I spent two nights in Villa Maria Cristina in January 2011. Wonderful! It is still in walking distance to the city center of Guanajuato and simply a jewel.
