I found the Casa Cid de Leon be charming, comfortable, welcoming and situated perfectly in the heart of Oaxaca's center. It was by far the finest hotel I've seen in Mexico, or perhaps anywhere for that matter. Each room has a unique design that gives it a different, beautiful and most-decidedly Oaxacan feel.
