Pros: It is in dead centre of the town - central plaza is only few steps away. The rooms were clean and staff very helpful. Cons:If you get a room facing the street then it could be a bit noisy. The restaurant there is much pricier than anywhere else in the city so I would recommend eating out. Otherwise a... more

Nice place in the center of San Cristobal. The building looks historical but has been updated although the bedding and pillows were ancient. Nice restaurant with nice staff. A very nice breakfast is included. more

Nice cosy hotel very close to the centre of town. Room was simple but very tastefully decorated and furnished. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the in-house restaurant was very good (but expensive compared to cafes in town). Only downside was that our room was very noisy at night with music being played at excruciatingly high volume somewhere nearby.... more

We stayed at this little cosy hotel for couple of nights and had a fantastic time. The town is very atmospheric so is the hotel. It had lots of personal rustic-modern touches with a lovely colonial courtyard in vibrant turquoise-orange decoration and thoughtful details such as alcoves and modern plant pots. The rooms were equally charm, though slightly small, and... more

We fell in love with the courtyard as soon as we entered the lobby of this hotel. It really is fanatastic, and a great place to sit and read or have a coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. The main problem is, as other people have noted, the rooms aren't... more

My wife and I stayed one night in this very charming hotel in the heart of San Cristobal de Las Casas. Please do not believe the bad things they write about this hotel: the rooms are perfectly clean, nice and colourfull, the staff is extremely helpfull and honest and the restaurant is a class in its own. The hotel is... more

the hotel rooms are about 6 feet from the street. the rooms are slightly larger than the beds in them. don't plan on catching up on the news for there are no tv's. my wife and i didn't get any sleep, the rooms are extremely noisy. we switched hotels and got a better place for a lot less money. more

This hotel is very clean, has a great location, and is very attractive. However, the rooms offer very little privacy. My room was located right off the lobby (as most of the rooms are), and had no windows. The room was very dark. The only source of light was a small skylight, and a window in the door. The walls... more

The hotel itself is charming with Santa Fe color scheme of turquois blue and orange. Lovely decorations and lots of plants. Courtyard is pretty, and the place is kept very clean. Excellent location, you can walk everywhere, tons of great restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant was quite average, pretty good prices. We only paid about 500 peso for our room,... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here over New Years and were given a room that was on the groundfloor, essentially in the lobby of the hotel. While I can't speak to the exterior courtyard rooms, which may be lovely, our room was awful. It reminded us both of a dorm room, with barely enough room for a double bed. There... more
