We discovered Villa Casa Morada thanks to Pierre, owner of a french restaurant in San Cristobal. We had been going around and were not finding a hotel that met our requirements. We enjoyed our stay there. We could walk into town and it was nice and quiet to sleep. Having a parking space was very convenient. more

Great place to stay with excellent service from the staff (who spoke English) The hotel is not in the centre of the town however the centre is easily walkable down the narrow cobbled streets. Even better at dusk, there is a very atmospheric feel to the area. The internet connection was fast (if this is important; it was for me).... more

Villas Casa Morada was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is a short walk to Na Bolom, the Santo Domingo Church and the markets. The rooms are nicely furnished and it was wonderful to have the small kitchen. A great place for either a short or long visit. more

The rooms were large with separate kitchen/lounge area, bedroom and en suite. Lovely little courtyard garden. Very clean, very helpful staff and also convenient location, less than 10mins walk to the main pedestrian area in the centre. I would definately stay at this hotel again. more

Stayed 3 nights in San Cristobal here. It is a cute little building of spacious mini apartments. Well constructed and sound. Kitchen. Nice bath. It had a fireplace and a little living room. I was charmed. Location about 5 or so zig zaggy blocks to main square. Very, very helpful staff. Obviously well trained, experineced and good at what they... more

San Cristobal de Las Casas was new to us, so we took the advice from fellow travellers on TripAdvisor and booked Casa Morada, which was rated #2. We took a taxi from the bus terminal after arriving from Palenque. We had no idea where the hotel was, but our driver, who was very friendly and explained the taxi rates, got... more

Oh yes! were the first words I uttered when I saw my cozy, colorful and comfortable junior suite at Casa Morada. There were modern amenities without losing the texture of San Cristobal: the painted tiles in the kitchen, framed textiles on the walls, hand-painted fireplace, lovely woodwork, etc. An easy trek to the center of town --just out of the... more

wonderful option to stay in S.C. It's a bit away from the hustle and bustle but within easy walking distance to downtown. Staff is wonderfull, it's comfy and modern, and their inner courtyard is an island of tranquility for lots of R & R and studying your Spanish verbs and nouns. I highly recommned the place. more

We had booked our stay on-line after reading about Villas Casa Morado in the Lonely Planet travel guide. Everything about the stay was great. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The daily maid service was thorough. The room, which they call a studio, was a generous size with a very serviceable kitchen and nice size sitting room, which... more
