I booked the Penthouse 3 weeks before my stay. When We checked in everything was perfect, but as soon as we arrived to the penthouse, the receptionist called us to informed that we could not stay in the penthouse, because the owner was throwing a huge party to her son, and they were going to use the penthouse for some... more

Once again Trip Advsior did not steer us wrong. The hotel is wonderful. A massive maze of hallways leading off into balconeys, a pool and a fantastic roof top bar overlooking parts of the Zocalo, the town and the mountain side. Literally took my breath away when we walked out there. Had a fabulous afternoon watching the sun set and... more

Just came back from Taxco, Agua Escondida is across from Santa Prisca. We had a long trek to our rooms, couple of flights up and across two bridges over alleyways. The rooms were adequate. The staff was friendly and the views from the patios are great. The food at the restaurant varies from night to night (even if you order... more

After a bad hotel experience we had in Mexico City, we were a little concerned about checking into this hotel since we are on an organised tour. This place did not disapoint. We checked in, the staff were very friendly and spoke a little english which helped. PROS - Free wireless internet in the lobby (for people who have laptops)... more

We have stayed at the Agua Escondida 4 times now. Honestly we don't love the rooms, ours could have used some updating, but the location is perfect. We reccently stayed for 2 nights and had a suite. It was great to have a patio, but it didn't overlook the Santa Prisca, which we expected as I asked for a suite... more

This charming hotel located in Taxco's small plaza made for a dream of a visit to the Silver City of Mexico this past January. The Hacienda-style furnishings in our room were functional and friendly on the eye. I especially liked the fanciful flowering vines painted on the walls. No view from our room but we picked the lowest rate so... more

We stayed two days and one night in Taxco. We were here on business to buy silver. The Agua Escondida was a perfect place to stay as the location is right in the town square where the cathedral is. When you enter the Agua Escondida you will encounter your first narrow set of steep stairs. The hotel is like being... more

The location of the Agua Escondida is most certainly a great feature as it overlooks the main plaza of Taxco. We were there over the Easter weekend and the town was bursting with energy and festivities. Having said that the hotel itself is what I would describe as adequate - I couldn't fault it in anyway (especially for the price... more

Stayed here with my wife for 1 night in May, our last night after driving through Mexico and before flying out of Mexico Citythe next day. If you're driving there yourself, turn right (up) at the point where you have a Pemex gas station on the left and a military statue on the right...and then ask as it's a difficult... more
