We chose this place for the price and we wanted to be near the beach. It's nothing fancy but it's clean and has pleasant staff, good hot showers. About a 5-10 min walk to the main square/zocalo.

We stayed at Villa Rica for one night during our winter vacation in Veracruz. We picked the hotel because it was very inexpensive and had a decent review in the Lonely Planet Mexico. We figured we didn't need any more amenities, when all we needed was a comfortable bed and bathroom before leaving the next morning to our final destination....
