We stayed at the Puerta Campeche for a few days and it was the best hotel of our month long trip. The grounds are a converted barracks, and the renovation is sympathetic to this, retaining some of the old walls and the layout. It's luxurious without being over the top or bland. The Hacienda Puerta Campeche is an amazing hotel. I spent 2 nights there in August 2008 and I will remember them for a long time. We stayed here on our honeymoon trip for a couple of nights. It was spectacular - the rooms are amazing, it is very relaxed, and the staff are wonderful. We had a tiny problem with the air conditioning in the changing room - it got fixed promptly, and the staff could not apologise enough. I thoroughly recommend a stay here. more

Simply stunning. Cool pool, roomy room, superb staff. This hotel alone is worth a visit to Campeche.
