Dirty rooms, bad food, lousy service, no water on one day, and no hot water the next. Despite a confirmed reservation, they bumped us out without notice. There is a better choice in this remote area - the nearby Hotel Deblitz which is newer with much better rooms. more

We used the Chicanna Eco Village as our home base while visiting the ruins in the Rio Bec region. The rooms are fine here - no air conditioning but with cross ventilation it is not really needed. This is NOT a resort; the only activity available is the swimming pool. Chicanna Village Resort is a very nice hotel specially for it´s location: in the middle of nowhere, but surrounded by mayan ruins and the beutiful jungle. Rooms is expensive, and food is even more expensive; that´s easy to understand if you reealize where the hotel is located. more
