Very nice people, really helpful. Hostal situated very close to zocalo (main square). Breakfast is served in restaurant next door. Refrigerator available. Hammocks in the garden. Rooms are - although there is a ventilator - very hot! more
The hostal has a rather sombre, muggy dormitory at the back with 12 or so sleeping places: if it were hypothetically filled with people, it would be like the Black Hole of Calcutta. My husband and I were stuck in Hurricane Wilma and just by chance ended up in Campeche. We fell in LOVE with the town. We wished we would have bypassed Merida and come straight to Campeche.
