This is a lovely hotel. The location is perfect - right in the heart of the center of Campeche and walking distance from 95% of the attractions. The rooms are big and extremely clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. And at less than 70 dollars a night, it's a steal. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. more

We stayed 2 nights at Hotel Castelmar in February 2008. It was by far the nicest hotel experience we have had in our extensive travels through the Yucatan. Having read the reviews I cannot share the same positive experience. We stayed for one night in the "Junior Suite" which is overlooking two streets, and accordingly very noisy.
