Having been my first trip to Cancun I enjoyed the stay. The room was adequate and clean, although the beds were hard as a rock. We went to Barcelo Tucancun Beach in April of 2010. My wife was having back problems and thought this might be just what the Dr. ordered (turns out the Dr. Ordered back surgery). Room was small and average but the view of the blue ocean was beautiful. The hotel is located on a strip of hotels and a short bus ride from downtown cancun. The food was Ok at best. We stayed there for two weeks and it was very pleasant time. Very clean rooms, friendly but very sloooow staff, good meals in th restaurants. Don't expect anything luxurious, it's just a good 3-star hotel. There are always windy and waves are pretty hard, swimming in those waves was like being inside of laundry machine, if you wan to swim... More
