I was told that it was a "gay" resort. Cute studio on the beach with little beach area. Nice as I was on my own and needed to get away from the big city. However I was robbed by the plumber on arrival. Do not leave any wallets or cash anywhere it will get knicked. Not much service and food... more

We stayed AI for 2 weeks in Jan. 2005. According to the descriptions of the hotel it should be one of the most exclusive resorts in Cancun, but service and particularly the food don't correspond to this claim. The rooms are clean and well equipped, the garden is beautiful, pool and beach are well tended. But half of the sunshades... more

This hotel was so great!! all the staff was so nice and waited on us hand and foot. We stayed for 7 days. It was the most old fashioned place around. True Mexican delight!!!! HOLA Ewdin, Fernando and Carmen!! more

My husband and I stayed at Villas Tacul in April of '04 and booked a two bedroom suite, which was a little pricey, but what the heck. It was a little casita style accommodation with separate sleeping area and a very Mexican style dining room and kitchen. Very quiet, very private. The beach was nice, but they definitely need more... more

I greatly enjoyed Villas Tacul for a two-night stay in Cancun. The city itself was a bit too toursty and by the second morning I was ready to move on to Merida. But Villas was way cool. We over-bought by taking a 2-bedroom villa for our group (two mothers and two daughters, $507 for two nights through The Travel Center).... more

Stayed there in Jan.Rooms are ok.Grounds are nice.Beach not nearly as good as in the hotel zone. Stayed all inclusive.Meals were selected from a very limited menu.Mostly chicken and pasta.Only allowed bottom shelf liquor or beer on all inclusive. But good luck even getting that! No service around the ice cold pool. The inside bar only had three stools. The... more

The Villas were a little shady. Security wont let other people or booze in your Villa unless you bribe them to get stuff in. We also heard stories from other guests that they had money and jewery stolen. When the asked the front desk for the problem to be corrected they were told that it wasnt thier responsibility if things... more

I just returned from the Villas Tacul a week ago-- it was fabulous! We received a very spacious and clean villa with a kitchen, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The staff was incredibly friendly and eager to make our trip to Mexico a pleasant one. Each morning they greeted us by our first name, and even supplied us with free... more

We had over $500 stolen from our purses by the cleaning ladies. We were inside the villa but asleep in the rooms. The 2 purses from which they stole, were out in the living area. Management has done nothing about it. We did fill out a report with their security but aside from that, nothing. I was told to come... more

Our original vacation plans were ruined, so at the last minute we booked a two room suite here. It's hard to find accommodations for a family of five, but this set up was great. The room was clean and well furnished. The plumbing was fragile, with occasionally clogging toilets and a distinct lack of hot water on some days. The... more
