I chose this hotel because it seems to have the same cult like following as the Akumal Beach Resort and figured it was a safe bet. How wrong I was. My wife and I and two of our friends just returned from El Coz.Oct 31st. It was our secound trip, after two weeks there in May of this year. I know people gripe about the food however, if you order from the menu thats on every table, and not from the buffet, they prepare your meal fresh from the grill.... more

Nothing extraordinary about this property. Dated. The pool was nice and I cannot complain about the service. I enjoyed the hammocks on the beach. The food was terrible. more

El Cozumeleno was a beautiful resort right on the beach and had great snorkeling right on-site. Perfect for a family and we loved the all-inclusive option. Great food and drinks daily with homemade guacamole and salsa! Our kids, ages 9 and 11, kept busy with several activities offered daily and nightly.
