We have stayed at NaBalam many times although recently it has gotten much more expensive and the staff much less friendly. We were planning on stayng at NaBalam for spring break and about two months before going we had to cancel. I emailed and was told my deposit was refunded (along with a confirmation number). Same quality, same staff, same beautiful place. Best food on the island. Everyone at Na Balam cares about making their guests' stay peaceful, comfortable, pleasant. We stayed there December/January 2003/04 and, after long consideration and lots of searching for "something new" decided to stay again.
