We returned to IM for our annual new years vacation. We have always stayed closer to downtown so I was a bit concerned about staying "out this far" out. Turns out we absolutely loved it! It was about a 15 minute walk into town or about 8 minutes into the neighborhood area of the island. Taxis and buses go by... More

Every time I plan a trip to Isla Mujeres, I look at all the accommodation options, and end up at Punta Piedra again (and will be staying there for my 5th time this winter). For a woman traveling solo, it is perfect. The owner, Amy, is a very friendly woman originally from the U.S. She and her family live just... More

My husband and our 12 yr old daughter went last October and it was perfect. We don't get a lot of "just the 3 of us together time", since my mom who has Alzheimer's lives with us. So my sister stayed with Mom and we had 7 days of just us. We stayed in the lower Apt. 2 with 2... More

My husband and I finished our yearly 3 weeks in Mexico with 3 days at Punta Piedra. It was wonderful, very peaceful. In the mornings you could watch the sunrise and know that there is peace in the world, if only on that small island. I have a fairly stressful job and only get one vacation per year so it... More

We stayed 8 nights at Punta Piedra II in the bottom studio. We were unsure if our balcony would be private enough because it's right next to dipping pool but we liked the idea of being close to beach and pool, so we booked it. It was as if we were the only ones staying there! We rarely saw the... More

We spent 12 days at PPII and enjoyed it tremendously. It was private, relaxing and had an outstanding view. We only had to walk outside and down the steps and we were on the beach with a beautiful view. The studio was clean and comfortable and Amy was very accommodating. There was some noise from the traffic in front of... More

We spent a week at one of the studio apartments at Punta Piedra 11 recently and enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment, although basic, had everything we needed and was spotless. The view out to the beach was absolutely fantastic .. we loved it !! It is about a 30 min walk to town, and taxis were very reasonable.... More

This was our third stay at Punta Piedra and we enjoyed it even more. We had the whole place to ourselves for the week and Amy upgraded us to the upstairs apartment because the air was broken in the unit we had reserved. If you are travelling with a family or 2 couples, I would definitely recommend the apartment. It... More

Great little studio apartment. Amy was a great hostess. Stayed for 10 days. Room opened onto the pool and patio with the ocean just beyond. We brought with us a little portable grill purchased at walmart (in the states for 5.00)Shopped for groceries at the Mercado in town. Spent about $65.00us for steaks, chicken, pork chops, fish and all the fixins including rum... More

Just got back from a week-long trip there and we were very pleased with our choice. Let me cover some of the highlights. The place is in a great location in many ways. About 1/2 hour walk from downtown which means you are far enough away from the lights and noise but close enough to walk or take a cheap... More
