While it is officially the smallest room that I have ever stayed it, I really did like this little hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast was tasty . When you go to Isla you are out all day long at the beach, stuffing your face with seafood, or cruising the island on the rental... more

My husband and I stayed across the water at a VERY VERY expensive resort. We decided to take the ferry over to Isla Mujeres for the day and are so happy we did. The food at Bucaneros could run circles around the food at our fancy resort. Our lunch was AMAZING! Service was perfect-like we were in someone's home. I... more

I was on IM in mid-Jan and this being at least the fiftieth time on the island, I obviously like the place....but...for the first time ever, as I was exiting the ferry, I heard someone say something about "luggage in the water". I KNEW absolutely, (even though I was hoping otherwise), that this was MY large, black suitcase sitting on... more

I spent six nights at this hotel from 5/25-5/30. I thought it was a great a little hotel. It is a great location on Isla. Everything is blocks away. It is centered right on Hidalgo which is the main drag in town. I stayed in room 100 with a friend of mine. There were two beds. One downstair and one... more

This was my first trip out of the US. I didn't know what to expect. For one, considering what we were paying, were we going to be in squallor? I ended up being in love with this LITTLE hotel. There are much finer options around but I felt like this family run business really has very good food, clean rooms... more

Weve stayed at Bucaneros before but this was absolutely the worst service ever!! When we checked in they were telling us about all the promotions that we were supposed to recieve because of the length of our stay but EVERYTHING had some sort of twist to it. Breakfast which last year was a full breakfast was now toast and juice.... more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and found it very adequate - in our room! We were in #104 with two double beds, fridge, AC, coffee maker, fry pan, several plates, glasses and tableware - although there was no place to eat except on the beds, the washroom sink doubled for doing dishes and the fry pan sat... more

My first trip to Mexico - met some family there who had been before to Isla. Hotel was pretty much what you pay for. My sister and I shared room on 'first' floor and the two double beds were firm and the room was clean. The bathroom had a little mildew and the a/c was testy but all in all... more

This will have been our 3rd stay at Bucaneros. We always feel like we are returning home. It is wonderful when the staff recognizes us. Eyder is the best! We have always stayed in room 102. We love seating on our balcony watching Hildalgo come to life in the morning and come alive at night for dinning. We have never... more
