This was our 2nd time at Ixchel. We love the island and the water is fantastic for our young children. There was a decision to put sand bags on the beach to prevent erosion. Terrific location right on Playa Norte, the best beach on the island in my opinion. Sunset Grill, a great restaurant, is right next door. Easy walk to town area or ferry. Staff friendly, modern building. Some rooms include a fridge. Great shower and water pressure. A/C. Paid about $165 per night. Note the main original building only has double beds.... more
