We enjoyed our stay in this converted and mostly maintained hotel. The courtyard is a great feature and the main area is pleasant. The staff are attentive and helpful, even if the speak only Spanish, they try and if you try you can make it work. What we couldn't understand was why there was banging in the halls and one... More

Stayed here for two nights with a 28-people tour group. The hotel is situated about 7 minutes walk to the Parque Central and close to all restaurants and shopping. The front is an old colonial building, so when you walk inside, it’s an open courtyard, with nice, big comfortable sofas and armchairs to the right, a little garden in the... More

We stayed here just for two separate nights in August, 2011, and had no problems at all. We found the place to be clean and welcoming. The rooms were fairly big, nice bathroom, view of the pool, everything you wanted, really. We found the service to be very good. When we returned for the second night, the room smelt of... More

We stayed here in late June at the recommendation of friends. It was a series of nightmares. We should have left when one of my kids pointed to one of the cracked columns in the courtyard and asked if it were safe. The insect infestation (i.e., ants and flies) was incredible, and the worn-out condition of the place was notable.... More

I cannot believe some of the reviews on thisa hotel claiming that the service was bad, it astonishes me really given the courtesy we were shown at all times and the overall helpfulness of the staff. The building itself is absolutely beautifully kept. It is clean, modern and tasteful. The rooms are spacious and clean with safes, flat screen TV,... More

This is the hotel we chose to stay at with all of our family during the one week we stayed in Merida for our weddng. Being our wedding we wanted somewhere relaxing to stay in but it turned out to be complete opposite. 1. We had booked 8 rooms 2 months in advance and when we got there they only... More

We checked in at 1:30 am and the front desk was so kind and helpful. They apologized the restaurant was closed but offered to get anything for us at the local grocery store. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only item that took getting used to was having to use the key card to operate the air conditioning. The... More

We spend 2 nights in Real Yucatan in a pool-side room and it is not 5 star acommodiation. Located in the historical center of Merida, has a wonderful inner patio and a very, VERY helpful and efficient staff/reception desk. That´s all good about it. The AC was so loud I couldn´t sleep at all, the doors don´t fit so you... More
