My husband and I stayed here only a few weeks ago and we had an amazing time. From back packing around central America before arriving in Merida, the Boutique Merida Santiago was like luxury travel! Yann and Rita were incredibly helpful, organizing day trips and train tickets for us which was just added to our bill at the end of... More

Our second time at Hotel Boutique Mérida Santiago, in this beautiful, crazy, busy city called Mérida. When we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome by Jan and the Gio (the dog). It was like we had never left. The B&B was even more beautiful then we remembered. Next morning we were looking forward for Donna Anna's wonderful Mexicain... More

We stayed there in February and it was perfect! Recommend it! Even if it's about 10-15 minutes walk in the center, we would choose it again because the hotel is in a quiet area, what is really recreative in a city like Mérida. We also loved the city of Mérida!

It's a long story, but after making a reservation here, our lives took a very different turn and we weren't able to keep the reservation. Unfortunately, I got so distracted with other things, I forgot all about the reservation and never cancelled it. When we failed to show up as expected, a gentleman named Juan called me. At the time,... More

Jan and Rita could not have been more gracious hosts. This is a welcoming, friendly, charming place to stay. The B& B is well situated in a residential part of the city and therefore quiet yet only a 10 - 15 minute walk from the centre of town. Jan has lots of great advice about things to see, tours, restaurants... More

I had always wanted to see Chichen Itza and that happened on my 50th birthday. A delightful surprise was the other-worldly experience of Merida and the homey, refreshing environment of the Hotel Boutique Merida Santiago. It was like an oasis or cenote after the busy sightseeing or city environs, to escape through the portal door to the cool, quiet courtyard.... More

This was the last place we stayed in on our 17 day tour of the Yucatan, in total we stayed in 8 different hotels and this is the only one we have awarded top marks. The owners are very passionate about their business and this is obvious once you have been there. Clean modern rooms, spacious bathroom with beautiful shower,... More

We stayed here two nights last month and highly recommend it. Jan, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful, greeting us with an offer of beer or a cold drink and sharing info about Merida with us--ruins, restaurants, haciendas, etc--as well as marking everything on our map. Our room was upstairs and was gorgeous: spacious, hacienday-style decor with a sofa,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Merida Santiago for 12 days recently and found it to be a small oasis in the middle of the city. It is only about a 10 minute walk to downtown but when you are staying with Jan and Rita, the rest of the world is swept away in their lovely calm casa. Jan... More
