This is a great hotel in central Merida. The modern rooms are $46 a night-U.S. I stayed for a week and had no problems- The staff is great! They speak English & were very helpful. They even made a dentist appointment for me! The rooms are cleaned daily & are nice sized with a great view of the pool. Beautiful... more

We based our stay in the Yucatan at Hotel Dolores Alba in Merida. It has a great location just a few blocks from the central plaza. There are pretty courtyards and a pool. Rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The front desk staff is friendly and extremely helpful. We took several of the tours that they offer (Chichen Itza, Uxmal... more

My family rented 2 rooms (162 & 163) for 4 nights in March 2008. The cost was $46 US/room/night. I was asked to pay for the first night upon arrival and then paid the remaining before checking out. The hotel itself is about a 10 minute walk from the main square. The area of town is OK. I felt safe... more

We have stayed at DA Chichen several times and gave this one a try on an overnight through Merida. Big! Appears to be three different properties linked together or newer constructions added to the original. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and speak English. Restaurant onsite but service ended around 9 P.M. for some reason. Very quiet considering the central... more

This hotel is just a few blocks east of the main plaza downtown, in a busy shopping district. However, it is amazingly quiet inside the hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, there is plenty of secure and free parking, the rooms are nice and clean, and most of all, this hotel provides amazing value for being so... more

We spent four nights in Merida, which is a great city, at the Dolores Alba and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was large and comfortable, very clean, with an in-room safe and a sliding door and balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard. The staff was very helpful and the tour they arranged to Celestun was excellent value. We thought the... more

I spent two nights in the hotel Dolores Alba in january of 2008. It is a nice hotel, with a swiming pool and a very good rooms with view to the pool. The woman who attended us was very kind and gave us some directions of the city. Reserving via internet gave us a 10% discount, so we pay less... more

Our family with three fairly young kids stayed at the Dolores Alba for five nights. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Our kids liked the pool (even thought it was colder then we thought it would be!). It is a little walk to the main areas where most of the resturants are but only those with little kids would... more

We stayed at Dolores Alba in Merida for a night this December. The room was clean and comfortable. The decor was nice and they had two super comfortable rocking chairs to relax on. The other plus points were the safe deposit box in the room and the breakfast (50 pesos) served. The Frida paintings and rocking chairs lining the hallways... more

My husband and I stayed at both the Merida and Chichen itza locations for two nights each. Staff at both were friendly and spoke English well. The rooms were clean and well cared for. The location of the Merida location was wonderful. It was only a 5-10 minute walk from the Main Plaza. The only meal we ate at the... more
