My partner and I spent four days recently at the Cascadas in Merida. The equivalent of a B&B, this was a great place to stay - good room, great shower (open onto a fountain, nice touch), great pool, lovely owners. The breakfast each day is great, Ellyne who runs the place is charming, and really looks after her guests. Breakfast... more

This place is top notch. Located in the Centro, near Santiago plaza, it is within easy walking distance of all the attractions in old Merida. The owners could not have been more helpful, warn, knowledgeable, and friendly. The facility is really unique and extremely well maintained. The beds and linens are high quality and comfortable, and the staff are very... more

Cascadas de Merida is a gem near the heart of Merida. Located a few blocks from the central plaza, it is nice to escape into this lovely B&B. This is THE place to call your home away from home, especially if this If you're first time to Merida. If you are looking for a unique, peaceful resort in the middle of the big city, Cacadas is it. Exit through the front door, and your less than a 15 minute walk from the city's center. The home cooked breakfast... more

I love this place! My adult daughters and I just completed our fouth stay at the Cascadas de Merida. With hundreds of B an Bs in my travel history, this one tops my list for the "Welcome Back" feeling I get every time I arrive. From arrival into the gated court with its fountain, past the main house where breakfast... more

I've stayed at Cascades de Merida on several occassions over the past few years and am always amazed at how relaxed I become when I walk in the door. Maybe it's the sound of waterfalls all around or Chucho's old family photos of growing up here that line the entry walkway, or perhaps it's the fruity aroma of fresh liquados... more

The pool was clean and refreshing and the bed and breakfast is in a wonderful location. I almost didn't tell you the best part- the owners are amazing... more

This small hotel is a great combination of colonial charm and modern amenities. Rooms are clean, bright, and welcoming. The pool is spectacular--I couldn't wait to jump in! And breakfast--included in the room price--is home-cooked, tasty, and there's plenty of it. As someone who travels with a laptop, I also appreciate having access to WiFi to check my email. The... more

Elleyne and Chucho have really got it right - they and their staff are warm and welcoming and do everything possible to make you feel at home. With their deep roots in Merida and the Yucatan, they are able to provide both practical and interesting information about the area. The location is just right - on a quiet street and... more

I highly recommend 'Cascadas de Merida' if you are looking for a pleasant, reasonably priced accommodation in Merida. We stayed at this beautiful B&B for 3 nights and were treated like royalty. Our 2 rooms ( a double and a triple) were spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and came with everything a traveler could want or need. The bathroom was stocked... more
