I really enjoyed a lot staying at Casa Sacnicte! It's run by an extremely friendly and helpful couple. Breakfast (with fresh orange) juice was included and the room, although a bit dark, was exceptionally clean. Free internet access would have been included too but didn't work while I was there, so I used the internet cafe around the corner. Another... More

We were even invited to share in the owners' family Christmas dinner feast, complete with Turkey and all the trimmings, and their breakfasts were wonderful too. More

In addition to all the good things people have said, I would add how attentive the owners are. During our stay, they were also juggling visits from family and friends. Still, they made sure we were comfortable at every moment. We had an incredibly early flight, and, despite our insistence that we could plug in a coffee pot, they were... More

This is a lovely B&B, not far from downtown (about seven blocks south of the grand plaza). Guadelupe was a wonderful host, very warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean, there's hot water (not a given in some other places I stayed), and there's a computer with free Internet access. More

This B&B is simply wonderful and we can highly recommend it. We originally intended to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying 2 weeks. It is close to the bus station and downtown and is very safe. The entire house is spotlessly clean and lovingly decorated, with flowers and plants everywhere. Our room (No 3) has a window to... More

What a fantastic little spot! The owners are an older couple who are very friendly. The husband speaks fluent english which was helpful to us. However, I would ask other people about suggestions for restaurants/shopping (we had trouble finding restaurants and stores he suggested). The place was immaculate - so clean and cozy. They have a small sitting room and... More

I stayed in Casa Sacnicte while doing research for my PhD from September 2008 to March 2009, and for the entire time, my stay was absolutely perfect. The house is extremely well located, just one block from the main street (Calle 60), and no more than 10 minutes walk to the Plaza Grande (main square). All the main attractions of... More

I had the pleasure to stay there for a week while taking a course on Mayan Cosmology and I found it to be perfect for my trip. Wilbur & family make you feel like one of their own and safe while their guests. The building itself is not much to view from the outside but when you cross over it... More

We met our children in Merida for ecotouring in nw Yucatan. Our daughter lives and works in Guadalajara, found the Casa Sacnicte. It turned out to be the perfect choice for our off tract touring of Mayan sites and wildlife in the area northwest of Merida. Our room was immaculate. The plumbing, wiring and air conditioning all worked flawlessly. The... More
